Thank you to all the parents that helped make this year a great experience for your child, with your time, supplies or snacks throughout the year. Without your support, the kids would not have been able to have a fun year in preschool.

This week has been very busy with all kinds of activities and learning a lot about the solar system. The kids are very planet smart and as we watched several movies that showed us outer space, the kids were identifying the sun, Earth and any other objects shown in the films. The kids really enjoyed learning about planet earth and why we have life on our planet and other planets do not. We talked about the atmosphere and how it filters the sunlight otherwise, we would have to wear lots of sunscreen to go outside to play. The kids were treated to a visit from the reptile man and had a wonderful time looking at all his animals that he brought with him. The kids really enjoyed their bowling day and pizza in the classroom on Thursday. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Flores for picking up the bowling lanes from the bowling center and buying pizza for the kids as well as a sherbet treat.
This upcoming week:
We will be having activities on Monday and Tuesday (inside field day in the ECC) for the kids and they will need to be wearing sunscreen on Monday for sure. Monday is also 8th grade graduation at 6:00 p.m. in the gym and the staff versus 8th grade volleyball game that morning.
Announcements:
Preschool will still be in session until May 15, 2012, even though the kids will have their diplomas in hand on May 8, 2012. Preschool is not held on the last day of school as normally the kids would have graduated the day before and not a week before as in this year.
Reminder: Preschool is still collecting box tops and for every 25 box tops the kids can pick out a reward from Ms. Todd.
Upcoming Dates:
Monday May 14, 2012 Picnic outside all day on the playground. Please make sure that your child is wearing sunscreen that morning.
Tuesday May 15, 2012 Field Day in the ECC for the Preschool Class. Since Preschool will not be participating in the field day activities with the other kids, we will be having our own activities in the ECC.
Wednesday May 16, 2012 No classes for preschool. Have a great summer!!!!!
